2011 almost gone

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted here on the blog. 2011  went by so fast! Another successful year for BIGTIME Entertainment. Weddings being the most scheduled this year. On another note. The Team Bridal concept born almost 2 years ago has grown successful in 2011. The goal for the team and it’s 21 vendors for 2011 was to book 20 weddings. We exceeded our goal and booked 24. Most businesses are a numbers game…and I’ve learned over the years that your goal should be to double your sales/numbers from year to year. So next years goal is to book 40 wedding packages. It’s hard to say what the economic outlook will be for 2012, however people will still get married no matter how the economy is. Team Bridal to me is now more than ever the best economical choice to have a beautiful wedding without breaking the bank!

2009 year in Review

Hello everyone!! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in awhile..with the holidays, doing christmas parties, new year’s beginning tax preps for the 09 tax season, doing bridal shows and bride consults..time got away from me.

So this article is called 2009 year in review. For those who are famliar with our company I wanted to inform you of several things.
In 2009 we perfromed 86 events, everything from Weddings to birthday parties to school events . What a year!!! Our business has increased 12% over 2008 figures. SO I asked myself how could this be?? with a “down ecomony” and other factors that cannot be helped. I came to this conclusion: People are still getting married.
Everyone likes to escape everyday problems. And everyone likes to have fun!! We have the greatest full time job of anyone. We get to be apart of special moments in people’s lives.
Our focus for 2010 is to continue to deliver TOP Quality Entertainment through music, Interactives and professional service.
After all doing all of these things is what made our company successful in the first place!!
This past sunday we were involved in the Tri Cities bridal show at Freedom Hall in Johnson City TN. It was an overwhleming success!
249 registered brides came through our booth!!
We currently have 26 events scheduled for 2010 and counting…

IF your a bride and your shopping for entertainment, let me share this with you:
Your entertainment choice will MAKE or BREAK your Wedding Day!
There are some “bad DJ’s” out there..usually the part timers who just do as a hobby to pick up some extra money.
Now, don’t get me wrong…not all those DJ’s are bad.
However I ask you this:
If you needed a life saving operation which the end result would be total success.
Would you trust a Part time surgeon who is not specialized in your type surgery?
OR
Would you better trust and have confidence in a Full Time Specialist who spends all his time in dealing with your type of situation???

It goes without saying..the Full Time SPecialist of course!
Although…surgery is not the same as your wedding day.
But I offer you this, You get one shot at making your wedding day perfect!!! One bad apple will spoil the rest.

With me , just getting married this pas August of 09…Angela and I understand all the in’s and out’s and planning of a wedding.
We wrote, produced, directed and of coursed starred in our wedding.
So bottom line is this:
You need entertainment that :
1. You can trust
2. Performing full time, not just as hobby.
3. Expierence with all types of weddings and situations.
4. Has the skill to entertain your guests, not just “play Music”
5. Excellent MC skills to host your event.
6 Can develop and manage timelines during your event.
7. Coordinate with other wedding Vendors.
8. Dress’s professional and conducts himself in a professional manner.
9. Excutes tasks the way you would want.
10. That doesn’t cut corners on details.

The deal is this…you can find “Cheap DJ’s/Entertainment” but remember you get what you pay for always!!!

TC HomeComing Weekend!! Oct. 31, 2009

Well it was a full day and night of event for us! At the campus of Tusculum College it was homecoming weekend.

So many events took place all weekend long, and we were in the middle of all the action!!! We performed at the Pioneer Club Tailgate, the student affairs tailgate and that night…The homecoming dance ( Halloween style) and also had an event at Ella’s Good Food , Good Music  Cafe here in greeneville halloween night!! It was rainy and cold but that didnt dampen the party spirits!!! We performed a total of 5 shows that weekend, that’s why I’m behind on my posts here at our blog, I’ve been catching up on rest!

Coming up this weekend is the Women’s club Holiday Bazaar at Hal Henard School on Sat 12pm to 5pm on on sunday 12pm to 5pm…we will be there playing christmas music while you shop the local vendors…it should be a good time!

And Early Saturday we have the Delarosa/Wilcox Wedding Reception , This is a special couple they both have been in the miltary and served together in Iraq and have just returned home this week!!

October 30th Chuckey Doak Middle Halloween Dance!

CDMS, Rocked!! It’s was the night before halloween and the gym was full of costumes students!! I of course was dressed as a DJ ..LOL…..with a full light show and effects!!! Students stayed on the dance floor all night! We had a great time!!

Lindsay and Tyler Kilgore Reception 10/17/09

A delightful couple, lindsay and Tyler had a traditional style wedding/reception. We had a good time. We were in a church so music choice was limited..but we still managed to get in the cha cha , electric slide and the interactive segment ( Marriage Dance)…that went over really well.

Picture slideshows were done as the reception began. * We offer slideshows as an addtional service*!

This week has been exciting for me. We offically launched our sister company ” EVENT PLANTATION” scheduled to open in the Spring of 2012!!!!!  

So what is EVENT Plantation??? 

This will be a multi purpose venue location located on the Erwin Highway in Greene County. It will serve as host to WEDDINGS, CORPORATE EVENTS AND PARTIES, FAMILY REUNIONS, PRIVATE PARTIES, CLASS REUNIONS, FUNDRAISERS and in the spring and summer a Concert Series featuring local and regional groups and singers!!! Nestled in the valley this charming place has beautiful mountain views, they are so close you can reach out and touch them!!!! A complete banquet faclity with everything one would need to have a function…the pavillion will seat upto 175 people at banquet tables with a full service staff.  Other Services that will be available:

Tusculum College Tailgate Party 10/3/09

TC tailgate…ah..the weather is getting cooler and tailgating is in full swing at the campus of TC. Had a great time…once again great good provided by FATZ Cafe…..Tammy (mgr) of FATZ fixed my favorite pasta salad..>(Thanks Tammy) we was a great time with the college president, and some of the coaches at Tusculum!!!

North Greene High School Homecoming 2009 10/02.09

NGHS vs. Unaka….showdown in greene county….well…..the huskies got beat at their homecoming…..however that didn’t dampen the crowds of students that attended our show….we setup outside behind the school across from the football feild…after the game students lined up to get into the area where we were setup.  We had about 80 to 90 students or more in attendance..we rocked it….this group formed the longest conga line that we have seen so far this year at any of the schools we’ve been to!! Great participation  by all the students!!! It was alittle chilly, but it wasn’t nothing that a big cup of hot chocolate couldn’t handle!!! NGHS ROCKS!! Hope to be back soon!

Surcey/Underdown Ceremony and Reception in Knoxville TN 9.26.09

Bobby and Josh, what a wonderful couple. The place was Bearden Banquet Hall . A small wedding with 8 tables about 50-60 people. This wedding day posed some challenges!!!! First it rained hard all the way to knoxville…we saw a few cars off the road from hyro-planing into the ditches. When we got the venue, they were without power!!!!!! Oh boy…..we arrived around 2pm and the power didnt come back on till about 10 mins after 5. 20 mins shy of when the guests were to arrive.. so we set up in the dark using flashlights….( yes we come prepared for anything) Everything started and ended on time. My favorite part about this wedding is that it was laid back ..not so formal…..Bobby and Josh picked my favorite intro song to be played for their grand entrance. ( 2001 Space Oddesy) you know, Ric Flair’s intro song and Elvis’s intro song before he took to the stage! It was Great…I was pumped to intro them into this song!!! HUGE Crowd Responses!!! That’s what receptions are all about…creating a impression(s) that people will remember!!!!! Just because it’s a wedding doesnt mean you have to be “Formal”…it was their special day and we created something that would reflect their personalites. Good Dancing througout the night…even popped in souja boy and gave some dance lessons..LOL…it was fun!! Congrats Bobby and Josh!!
